Has anyone noticed how fine Young Jeezy has gotten in the last year? When he first stepped on the scene, Jezzy was overweight with a baby face. Now the new and improved Jeezy has slimmed down and is sporting a low beard. The Snowman has melted and who knew that the real man would be this FINE!

What is up with Raz B, former member of B2K? He has seriously lost his mind. This dude is posting videos of him talking to different people about being taken advantage of by Chris Stokes and Marques Houston. I say taken advantage of because at 17 or 18 years old you’re basically a participant, unless they had a gun to your head or threatened you. Anyhoo, Raz is putting these dudes on blast about them making him have sex with both of them and the other members of B2K. I can understand him wanting to ‘out’ them, but come on dude that makes you kind of ummmm………gay. There’s nothing wrong with homosexuality but they got what they wanted and you got what you wanted, being an R & B superstar. When all of the cash was coming in, why didn’t you speak up then?

I thought I was hearing things when I watched the video from New Orleans rapper Dee-1. He’s taking shots at America’s sweethearts, Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Lil’ Wayne. This dude is going in too. It’s either gonna make him or break him, but I like his confidence. Hell, no one else will do it.

He basically tells Fif that he’s slaughtering the careers of other rappers true enough, but all of them are black. That’s what they want us to do, so it’s another ‘W’ for the other team………SO TRUE!!

He tells Weezy F that the shout outs to New Orleans at the Grammys was cool, but when is he going to give back to the city, namely the schools. Dee-1 ain’t biting his tongue on this one.

On to H to the Izzo. Dee-1 says Jay-Z has so much influence on hip-hop culture that he needs to use his voice and let it be known how he feels about these young cats and wack rappers messing up the culture. He says Jay doesn’t have to be the next Talib Kweli, but damn, say SOMETHING! I feel you on that Dee-1.

I don’t know what the future holds for this talented rapper, because if any of these three lyricists takes anything he says the wrong way, it could be a wrap for him. Oh well, you be the judge.

On August 5, 2010, we will have the pleasure of being entertained by a new group of Housewives, this time, from Washington, D. C.  While the initial concept of the show had some merit, the shows have all turned out to be nothing more than a group of silly, privileged women, with no more class than Bridezillas.  The only thing that money has done for the housewives is put them in a higher class of desperate, attention-seeking, low class females.

The shows start off well enough, but soon the real stories emerge-stories of former strippers, marital break-ups, foreclosures, cheating, back stabbers, drug users, jail birds, and my personal favorite – porno videos.  I know some women in my hood who could play these same parts, minus all the hype about how much money they have.  And the killing part is most of “housewives” aren’t even married.

I’m getting off track.  Let’s get back to D.C. and Stacie Scott Turner.  Stacie is originally from Alexandria, Virginia. She has a successful real estate practice in D.C. and is very well known for her political fund raising, and generous contributions to charitable organizations.  Stacie is married and has 2 children.

Stacie has a very impressive background.  She earned a bachelor’s degree from Howard University, and an MBA from Harvard; she was Vice-President of Marketing at BET, Marketing Director at Sprint Corporation and Assistant Brand Manager at Proctor & Gamble.  She’s a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a member of Jack & Jill of America.

The Real Housewives takes seemingly normal, ordinary women and turns them into conniving, back biting piranhas.  Maybe it’s the lights and cameras that changes them.  It will be quite interesting and amusing to see how this series plays out.

There don’t seem to be any skeletons in this closet.  Well at least, not yet.

That little Roscoe Dash is really starting to grow on me, especially his new single, ‘Sexy Girl Anthem’.  The 20 year-old Dash, born Jeffery Johnson, Jr. went to rap group Travis Porter and when they heard his song, ‘All the Way Turnt Up’, they wanted to be down. Roscoe gave them the song and they put it on their mixtape with him on the song. Once the song blew up, it  was being marketed as Travis Porter’s,  featuring ATL (Roscoe’s name at the time).  To distance himself from the conflict and the group, Dash googled names and came up with Roscoe Dash. Today after name changes and a couple hits later, Dash is obviously the one who came out on top, and soon everyone will be asking, “Travis Porter who?”.

The phenomenon that is Nicki Minaj….. What is the fascination with this chick? I don’t think I’ll ever figure it out. She does have her own original style. I don’t know why nobody ever thought about styling themselves after Barbie before, but it was a great idea and it worked. At one point I was tired of the whole Barbie craze. I mean you can’t be a size 22 talking about, “It’s Barbie b$%#h.” That just doesn’t work. So how did Nicki go from Onika Tanya Maraj, to Nicki Minaj? We do know that she was born in Trinidad and moved to Queens, New York when she was five years-old. And we know she was discovered on MySpace and signed to Young Money. But what happened in between? Some people swear Nicki was this butch girl who had some sort of crazy ‘relationship’ with incarcerated rapper, Remy Ma.

I’m not too sure about that one but obviously her fans don’t seem to care either. Over time Nicki has grown on us and she seems almost normal now. Her rhyme style reminds me a lot of an early Lil’ Kim, but hey Kim ain’t doing nothing with it so why shouldn’t Nicki? I do like some of her songs, but at times she sounds a lot like Fire Marshall Bill from ‘In Living Color’. “LET ME SHOW YOU SOMETHING”.

Nicki has a gimmick that sells, but for how long? With Lil’ Wayne locked up, Nicki has joined forces with Diddy, and we know Diddy is a genius when it comes to hyping people up and then ruining their careers. So, we’ll have to wait and see if Nicki Minaj can stay on top as the ‘Barbie of Hip-Hop’ or end up like Skipper?

David Stern, we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. This means that people are allowed say what they want about any subject they want. It’s called an opinion and everyone has a right to express theirs. Your $100,000 fine of the Cav’s owner, Dan Gilbert, reeks of overstepping your boundaries simply because you can.  Let’s think about this for a moment. LeBron decided to leave Cleveland after 7 years to pursue that ever elusive NBA championship ring and all the accolades that go along with it. It’s obvious in Gilbert’s open letter on the Cav’s Website about LeBron’s departure, that one thing is evident – he sees the handwriting on the wall – fewer ticket sales, less capital for the city, and last but you bet your ass not least, declining revenues for his pockets.  LeBron was the Cleveland Cavaliers. Without him, they may as well be called the New Jersey Nets.

Did you know that Dan Gilbert is the founder and owner of Quicken Loans and during the Lebron era with the Cav’s he invested over $27 million in upgrades and renovations to the Quicken Loans Arena and another $25 million in a new player development and training center. Now you tell me, is this man upset now that LeBron is gone, or what?

Why don’t you suck it up, David Stern and let the man vent his frustration on paper.  The city’s over it, why aren’t you?

The T.O. Show, season two, debuted last night on VH1, and I must admit, it didn’t disappoint. The two sidekicks were in ‘full’ effect. And I say full cause T.O.’s assistant Mo, is VERY pregnant. It sure didn’t change her attitude did it? (I don’t know if I could have sat there while she dissed my friend and embarrassed me like that.)  I was shocked to learn that Terrell and Kari (the young, college girl) from last season stayed together, although I see they are still going through the same problems. Season Two seems like it will be a must-see. Maybe he can give his homie Ochocinco some tips. Oh yeah…. Where’s Pablo?

Where in the hell did they get the women for the new reality show, ‘Ochocinco: Ultimate Catch?’ from, a roller derby? These women looked old and busted! Chad Ochocinco is one of the most popular players in the NFL not because of his scoring abilities, but because of his touchdown dances and other foolishness he does on the football field. This is the same man that wanted to tweet live from football games but the league ruled against it. This ain’t no Flavor Flav, so why did all his women look like Kool Moe Dee? I had heard he only dated ‘exotic’ looking women, but even those looked like old drag queens. I hope the show gets better because Chad, you fine but I don’t know how much more I can take.
